Maybe, you are in a country whose roads are safe or even rough but not dangerous, and you ended up in a country with a very deadly road, what would you do? We have made available some of the countries with the deadliest roads for anyone travelling.  In so many countries, crossing the streets can be the easiest thing to do but that may not be simple in few countries we would be talking about.

The rate car accidents are high in these countries and it is best you know these countries before you can think of travelling to them.

Namibia

namibia

Imagine a rate of 45 deaths per 100,000 people every year in a country. That is really alarming. In Namibia, the accident rate has been considered to be extremely high.  The roads in this country are very high and if you are not familiar with the routes, it may be a challenge and may end up in the hospital if care is not taken.  The roads in Namibia are not very friendly and are mostly taken care of by the experienced road users from the country. Tourists should avoid driving around if they are not used to a particular route.

Thailand

Thailand

Following Namibia  closely is Thailand where  there is 44 deaths per 100,000 people per year. If you are driving in Thailand, you would realize within minutes that it is dangerous and challenging. There is a heavy volume of traffic in the country and the roadways are not taken care of properly or marked.  A lot of people would tell you that if you are faint of heart, you should forget driving in Thailand.

Iran

 Iran

Even the United States of America State Department would always tell her tourists to try and stay away from driving when they are in Iran. This is because Iranian drivers are dangerous on the routes. 38 deaths per 100,000 people per year is what is estimated for those who are driving or moving in the country. The Let’s Go Iran which is a tourism agency would advise drivers from other countries to  “take care when crossing the roads, and even greater care when driving on them - Iranian drivers tend to overtake along pavements and any section of the road where there is space.”

Sudan

Sudan

The 36 deaths per 100,000 people per year is what has been assigned to Sudan.  For those who would want to tour this African country, they should be careful because moving around with vehicles can be very dangerous because of the poorly maintained roads, dust storms, poor car maintenance and lack of street lights . When accidents happen, crowds gather and things can get ugly.

Swaziland

Swaziland

The rate of 36 deaths per 100,000 people per year is what  Swaziland has. It is advised that foreign drivers should be very care when they are driving here because of the excessive spending by the local drivers and their behavior. You should careful also because of the poor lighting, presence of pedestrians on roadways, large trucks delivering heavy cargo, failure to obey traffic signals, livestock as well as other animals on roadways, slower moving vehicles on the road, drunk drivers, drivers texting and/or talking on cell phones and more.
