Railway stations are usually busy with hundreds of people either hopping onto or out of a train at any one time. Travelling by train has grown in popularity over the years probably due to the low cost involved especially for long distance travel. Train fares are definitely cheaper compared to other modes of transportation. It is also the one mode of travelling were passengers feel very safe. If you imagine how busy train stations tends to be, the beauty of the station is obviously the last thing on most travelers’ minds. However, when you find yourself in one of the stations below, you can’t help but stop and take in their beauty.

With forty four platforms and sixty seven tracks arranged in two levels, this railway station has rightly earned the title of the largest railway station in the world. It is a major hub for trains from all over the country as well as buses and taxis from within town. The station architecture is well designed with winding stairs and huge chandeliers. It is said to be among the most visited tourists’ attractions in the world.

No matter how many times you go through the Atocha railway station, it will be difficult to go by without stopping to take in the tropical beauty. This station was the first station to be built in Madrid and today it remains the largest. Right inside the station is a tropical forest that spans more than four thousand meters and houses more than five hundred species of trees and animals. The train station is located in the heart of Madrid and serves as a major hub for trains coming from different parts of Spain as well as commuter trains.

 This station previously known as St Pancras railway station was renamed to its present appellation in 2007 after a lot of renovation work was done followed by a grand opening. Today, it is a major railway station in London serving the domestic and International market. It is made up of four groups of platform serving the domestic and international public. There are a number of artwork found within the station such as the Meeting place on the lower level and the statue of the Sir John Betjeman a onetime poet laureate. There are also a number of shops and cafes to keep travelers busy as they wait for their train.

It was formerly called the Victoria Terminus until it was renamed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. It was designed by an English Architect during the days when British influence was still high in India. This is one of the busiest railway stations in the world and has been named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architectural style is a blend of Victorian and traditional Indian.

This is one of Europe’s busiest railway stations that serve both national and international routes. The station was designed by a Germany based Architect in 1883. Today, the glass design that is about 120m long is a popular tourist attraction.
