Turkish Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Turkey, with Atatürk International Airport being the main base, the Turkish carrier has secondary hubs at Adnan Menderes Airport, Esenboğa International Airport and Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. In 2013, it operates 42 domestic and 198 international airports in Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas including two cargo-only airports in Libya, Mitiga, Maastricht and Netherlands. the airline is the fourth-largest carrier in the world by number of destinations, which is 240 destinations. The company’s slogan is : ‘Widen Your World’. In 2010, Turkish replaced Turkair as its new call sign for Turkish Airlines, with its operational fleet of nine cargo aircraft. For international flights, it is recommended to arrive at airport two hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight. For domestic flights this duration is one hour. For boarding pass, the domestic flights is 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. And the international flights is 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Baggage that exceeds 32 kg will attract extra charge. There is a free baggage allowance which is in accordance with the service class that is used and it can vary in terms of the number of the pieces of the free baggage that is allowed as well as the baggage weight.
Explosives, flammable liquids, ammunitions, fireworks, and flares are not allowed, radioactive materials, lighters and corrosive materials are not allowed and sporting equipment such as hockey sticks, billiard cues, baseball/cricket bats, golf clubs, etc must be registered at an extra charge.
