Holidays In Colombia
Having done a thorough research on Colombia, my friend Leah and I booked a flight trip to Colombia. Colombia is a large country in South America that is boarded on its west by the Pacific Ocean. It also ranks among the top 30 countries by its large population. Colombia is a perfect destination for tourists from all walks of the world. Colombia’s beaches, parks, archeological sites, colonial cities and the Andes are just a few of its versatile attractions that have made tourism a major activity in the country. Colombia also experiences beautiful weather that remains pleasant all through the year. It also has a precious landscape that is so attractive and beautiful to live in and visit. We enjoyed the many beauties and this earned me a great itch to appreciate the vast wonders of Colombia.
We set off from the amazing Colombian coffee triangle. The place was so scenic we could hardly veil our joy as we walked though the enormous spectacular and immaculate green coffee farm. It looked so beautiful but its colossal size was unbearable and so we took a horse ride and were led by some tour guides to utterly amass its beauties. The guides were amazing too. They gave us so much info about the stunning coffee farm that left us yearning to grow coffee on our farms back home. We then went to have a few cups of coffee that was excellently made. We were also lucky to learn a few tips on how to make awesome coffee drinks. It was really a nice morning. We then went down to the Cocora valley for a short hike. This place offered more astounding fun. There were huge palm trees that stood still rooted to the ground. It was a great wonder adventure as we got a chance to see the tallest trees that we had never seen all our lifetime. Our visit had surely commenced on a high note making it crystal clear that more beauties were awaiting us.
The striking Tayrona National Park was the next venture we toured. It was absolutely worth a visit. The park had loads of incredible tropical animals and plants. We treasured seeing some of the rare species of wildlife. We were also amused by the tall stunning coastal mountain ranges that projected on one side of the park. The park was surely awe inspiring. We loved it very much and were grand that we had chosen Colombia. Scuba swimming was yet another attraction in this wonderful park. We mesmerized swimming in the warm clean Caribbean waters and stretching out on the spotless gorgeous white sandy beach. It was indeed a spectacular moment that would be remembered for ages. We then advanced to Lost town on a five hour hike. It was beyond awesome. We also learnt from the few locals we found that it had been christened recently the new Machu Pichu and this was probably to lure more visitors. Our visit was going great and we would have to visit the park again on our next trip to Colombia.
We then pressed on to the salient and the noticeable Gorgona Island. Gorgona island augments out of the Colombia’s far flung pacific waters more similar to the biblical Noah’s Ark. The park was ingenious with a cosmic collection of wildlife. It was more astonishing and magical to find numerous fluorescent and amazing lizards, capuchin cheeky monkeys and more so the attractive but lethal snakes that were securely housed in the enthralling left over’s of the utmost security prison. This experience was very poignant. More awe was in the patent charming waters adjoining this Eco heaven. There were many outstanding manta rays; beautiful hammerhead sharks and good looking imperil sea turtles. It was really scenic. We also enjoyed catching glimpses of the dying pacific ocean at its beautiful pristine blue horizon. We loved everything that we saw. Leah was more overwhelmed by the sphere like the prospect of the ocean and wished to sail far into the ocean to get clearer glimpses. It was fantastic being there.
San Gil was yet another place we found fun visiting. San Gil is the Colombia’s quest sport hub. The site was mind blogging with a wide parched but attractive mountainous backcloth. It felt so miraculous being in this magnificent paradise. We got involved in lots of activities such as the delightful white water propelling, caving, bungee jigging and kayaking. The activities were so moving. We almost thought we had booked a trip to the moon. We also enjoyed watching hordes of people abseiling in the attractive waters. We further relaxed for several minutes on the canoes in the waters admiring the beautiful site and going through the beautiful memories of Colombia. It was a matchless moment. We then hiked to the old colonial towns that were in the vicinity of San Gil. We greatly had fun walking along the captivating streets of these thrilling towns and trying to capture much of their history from the friendly and inviting locals we encountered. Our visit was certainly going great. We visualized visiting San Gil a second time.
Though San Gil was a problematic place to leave due to its beauties, we finally left and headed to Bogota city which is Colombia’s capital city. It was an amazing place to be. Lots of attractions were held within its square. We first went to the dazzling illustrious gold museum. It was so amusing as we had never heard of a gold museum. It housed numerous stirring pre Colombian arts that were so tempting such that we had to enquire more about their formulation. There was also a massive fine looking collection of Batero art. Batero artwork is ranked the largest in the world. This experience was so good. We had actually visited the best place in the world. We were also filled with more pleasure in the attractive and beautifully designed restaurants within the city where we had drinks and food at cut rate prices. It was indeed a remarkable place.
The glittering Military Museum of Colombia was another place we could hardly leave before visiting. It was a miraculous and pretty museum. Picturesque displays of charming weapons, uniforms and military vehicles had filled this beautiful museum. It was a good feeling to be in a military house as soldiers are largely seen as war men that are feared by many people . There were also many guides who readily interacted with us and revealed much of the military history. It was really amazing and we walked around the lovely displays for an hour admiring them while appreciating the military work. We also took several photos of the astounding exhibits. Its gates were also spectacular with serving military men. We loved the experience very much and would want to visit it again.
We finally embellished our visit with the Mantarayas Travel Tours. They were so nice. The guides were really proficient in their high quality duties. They took us round Colombia to the divine Boyacá town where we found exuberance watching beautiful mountains, lovely primeval sites and nice to look at the lagoons. Mantaraya were undoubtedly great in choosing hot spots. We appreciated their friendliness and promised to travel with them on our other trips to Colombia. The Boyacá town people were wonderful. They welcomed us warmly and involved us in their friendly talks. It was an awe inspiring jiffy. Colombia is a breath taking country that one can never finish stockpiling its magnificent wonders. Our trip was afar off stunning such that we immediately planned our second trip to Colombia.
