After our honeymoon we two had a pretty routine life for almost two years in a row. We two were very much busy in our daily life. It was high time and we wanted a break. It was our marriage anniversary when I decided to surprise my wife with a vacation trip to Czech Republic. I was not a very sure about the place; it was on one of my friends’ recommendation who had earlier visited the country that I finalized Czech Republic. On hearing about the beauty of the place and the rich cultural heritage of Czech I was excited for the trip and was looking forward for this. As soon as I presented the tickets to my wife, she was so much excited and hugged me for this. We packed our bags and landed up in Prague.

As soon as we landed in the Prague we were in the Old Town after leaving our luggage in the hotel room. Old Town is known as the heart of the Prague. One of the most famous attractions of the place is the central clock tower. There were so many fabulous restaurants in the place. Our mouths were already watering to taste the famous Czech food. The food here was marvelous. Both of us liked the food very much. After eating up to the heart’s content we went out for a walk in the streets. The Architectural Beauty always fascinates me. The beauty of the place was stunning.  Moreover, the cost of visiting the place is pretty much less as compared to the beauty of the place. I think this place is a real paradise for the lovers of art. After strolling on the streets and enjoying the beauty of the place and also the marvelous food, we went to a pub. The drinks here are as marvelous as the place. We enjoyed the drinks and left for the hotel room to rest and cherish the sweet memories of the place.

Next day we left for St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague castle. This is the most important and the largest church in Prague. We visited the place late in the morning so it was obvious to see the place to be crowded. We were totally fascinated with the beauty of the place. We went upon the tower up to get a 360 degree view of the place. This place looks stunning beautiful from there. We also had an option of audio guide. This was an amazing facility which allowed us to know about the church and chapel present here at our own convenience. This church is a marvelous work of art and I still after so many days have the memories fresh in my mind. We took our camera to take pictures with us. But there were sign boards which read that taking pictures was not allowed. I saw people taking pictures there so I believe this law is not in force now. We took many stunning pictures of this huge cathedral which proudly serve as the desktop backgrounds for my laptop.

After enjoying the stunning beauty of the St. Vitus Cathedral, we left for the State Opera. Though I was not a very good fan of the art but my wife wished so we left for the place and booked for us in the evening. Before entering the opera I was amazed with the beauty of the building. Once we were in, I enjoyed the theatre there. A visit here changed my views about the opera. The artists here are fantastic performers. This place is a paradise for couples. The visit to this place reminded me of our first days when we were in love. This is a very romantic place to visit. It made my night romantic and I fell in love with my wife again.

We decided to visit the Prague Zoo on the next day. The zoo in quite large and has many animals present inside. The animals are kept clean and in a decent way. Unlike many other zoos across the globe, the animals here are very active. All the animals are playing and running around. We saw the chimpanzee for about 20 minutes playing with him and running around. Animals here are no kept in cages so one can see them in their natural habitats. The trip to this zoo can be very much educational as the signboards there are in English and had a lot of information about the animals. There is a vast and discrete collection of animals. One thing we liked most was that the enclosures made for the animals are designed in such a way that we could get very close to the animals. Moreover animals were also not shy of the people and they walked towards the visitors. We had to walk a lot to visit every area in the zoo. The place is next to a hill so it has slope at some places. Overall, the place is very exciting and I can regard it as the best zoo I have ever seen. I felt as if we were a newly wedded couple gone for a honeymoon. The place also had one of the best foods at a reasonable price.

After having a marvelous day out in the zoo, we were tired and decided to rest in the hotel room.  After being to this place there was so much romance filled back in my life which was missing from many days. After a sound sleep, next day we headed towards the Charles Bridge. This is also a must see site in the Prague city. This bridge is built over Eibe River. There were a number of street performers and we liked them all. They all filled the streets with their marvelous music. It’s great fun to walk through the streets and we loved the scenery around. One can find a number of statues all over the place. After spending a quality time of around two hours here we left for our next place to visit.

The Lesser Quarter was our next halt. This place is a must see in Prague. You can find here renaissance Burghers and houses Etc. This is also a marvelous place to enjoy the art. This place suits every budget. We visited Lesser Quarter specially for the purpose of shopping. There are many shops around to buy a lot of marvelous things which belong to the Czech culture. We spared some time after that to visit St. Cyril and St. Methodius Church. This is a must see site to know about the bravery and struggle of the Czech freedom fight. We spotted many marvelous works of art here, just like the trend around Czech. This place is just at a 15 minute walk from Charles Bridge. With this as the last place we visited in Czech Republic, we went back to the hotel as we had to leave for our country the next morning.

It has changed my life and has brought the romance and excitement back in our life. This is a must visit country for the lovers of art and beauty. We enjoyed being here a lot and will be planning to be back to this place again as we missed many marvelous places to visit because of the shortage of time.
