Through many years this famous cathedral attracts tourist from all over the world.The history of Notre Dame de Paris goes back to 1163. This is the year when the building has started. Due to different reasons the process took a long time and was only completed in 1864. Today it is an icon of Paris. What makes it charming is an atmosphere that Notre Dame communicates to visitors. For ages it was an inspiration for artist, writers and filmmakers. Just look at Victor Hugo’s Esmeralda which is one of the greatest examples  of how impressive the cathedral is.

 

Parc du Champ de Mars

This is a park located just under the Eiffel Tower.  At day or at night there are always groups, couples and singles who just sit here and enjoy the view. When visiting an Eiffel Towel can hit your pocket, this charming activity will cost you nothing. Just be sure you got the best wine, cheese and a blanket with you.

An essential of this district is a Basilique du Sacré Coeur. Basilica is located on the highest point of Montmartre. It is said that basilica’s bells are the heaviest bells in the world. The entry is free and listening to bells is very exiting indeed . However there is also an option of listening to a live music. Very often Parisian street musician are performing on the stairs of Basilique du Sacré Coeur.

For more than 800 years The Quartier Latin is considered as student’s district. The reason for it is La Sorbonne of course. La Sorbonne is the oldest university in France(founded in 1257).
