Apart from the plants and trees in the garden, you also get a chance to see a glass house which is very much similar to the Crystal Palace in London. The glass building is really amazing and you will like its design. The construction of this LalBagh garden was done by Hyder Ali in the 17th century. But this was incomplete due to his dead. Later, his son Tipu Sultan completed its construction and since then this is a very beautiful garden which is being visited by many tourists every year.

LalBagh Botanical Gardens

The word “LalBagh” means “Red Garden”. This place is called by this name LalBagh, just because of the red roses that you get to see in this place. They are really amazing and beautiful. The construction of the glass house was done in the year 1889 and that was to welcome the Prince of Wales. This glass house is considered as the heart of the garden, or in fact the jewel of this garden. The garden gets in festival mood during the republic day and independence day celebration, because you get to see many beautiful flowers in this place, maybe around 200 flowers. GaviGangadhareshwara Temple

Gavipuram cave temple, which is more popularly called as the GaviGangadhareshwara Temple is the best example to show the rock cut architecture of India. The construction of this temple has been done in an excellent way that the sun rays fall only on the shrine and this happens only during certain times in the year. This temple celebrations start in the month of January on 14th every year, this is the day when the sun rays reach the shrine. The deity of this temple is Lord Shiva.

GaviGangadhareshwara Temple

There is a mystery related to this temple and that is about the discs which are present at the entrance of the temple. This temple is considered one of the oldest temples in Bangalore and it belonged to the 18th century. You find that the temple is located between caves and rocks and a very peaceful place to visit. If you can find time and ready to visit the temple, even when it is crowded, then you should visit this temple on Monday morning to see the Abhishekam done. Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace

A very beautiful construction which represents the Indo Islamic architecture of India is the Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. Construction of this palace was started by Hyder Ali, who was the father of Tipu sultan, but it was completed by Tipu Sultan in the year 1791. This was the place wereTipu Sultan conducted his court and the rooms of this building are constructed in an excellent manner.
