Things To Do In Treviso
A beautiful city and a commune in Veneto in Northern Italy, it is sparsely populated and is not flanked by the crowds as other parts of Italy. Home to the retailers like Benetton, Lotto Sport Italia and De’ Longhi, this region boasts of commercial success. The similarity between the name Treviso and the delicious dessert Tiramisu is not ignorable. It is in fact here that this delicacy was crafted. Then there is also the Prosecco wine which made sure that it placed the name of the city on the global map. Though it is still called by its local name Marca, this was the term that used to indicate the border areas during the First World War and has been the legend behind many heroic events that have been recorded in the history of Treviso. There are the fluvial landscapes which make this city and province of the same name, a global tourist destination and one of the best areas in Italy. Rivers mingling with pretty hills and marked by the waters of Piave, Sile and Livenza rivers, this area is fertile alluvial soil mixed with a blossom of flowers and flower buds all the year long.
A calm and peaceful atmosphere with a rich history of Venetian aristocrats was the basis of this city being set up. The routine of choosing Treviso as the tourist destination was started by the aristocrats who ensured that this place would be thriving with customers all the year round. There is a charm about the mystic villages and the suburbs in this area which is credited to the intriguing traces of the ancient times still prevailing in the architecture of the area. A huge regional natural park in the area strikes the eye of the traveler while it stretches itself completely with the river flowing through the city. Cervara may be classified as the most beautiful Oasis, with a huge bushing of olive groves and vineyards scattered through the place. For the glacial trekkers, there is much excitement as far as the Montello peak is concerned. Completely covered by the oak trees and the safe keeper of a rich history, the heavy wooded Altopiano del Consiglio, is the place which is the main source of woods for the ships of the venetian republic, a Practice that has been long stopped due to policies pertaining to the conservation of the forests.
Northern Marca is Vineyards in all their grace and productivity. Called the mini vine country, it is defined by regally stretching vineyards and highly prized wineries. The eastern area of the province is covered by thick woods and water courses, deeply rooting a virtuous history among them. If on one hand, Treviso is a peaceful oasis which lets you enjoy the long walks and strolls, there is a complex city center which makes sure that the visitors admire the elegance of the area. Then of course are the villas that have been constructed with matching glamour and élan, the major attraction among which is the Villa Fabrizi Franchetti, which is a Venetian aristocratically styled mansion and has a surround of a beautiful large park, completely a place to make you get glued to it. While Treviso may be the traveler’s haven, visiting the place in the best peak season is what makes the effect more than normal.
