The Unexplored Beauty Of Russia
It was in the winters when I and my wife were having a discussion to decide where to go for a vacation so that we can enjoy and spend some quality time together. I should thank her she suggested Moscow, Russia. Moscow is the capital of Russia. The time spent there still refreshes my mind. This city is a marvelous example of architectural excellence. It is a combination of the modern era with the history. One can find all the breathtaking monuments present there. We landed up there on Saturday night and went straight to the hotel. Sara had booked for us before we reached there. I could not sleep the whole night as I was very much fascinated to visit this historical city.
The next morning we were ready by 8 to go out for a visit to the St. Basil’s Cathedral. This is the most beautiful site on the Red square. The Basil’s is a beautiful piece of architecture with wonderful colors. This is an example of an eastern architecture. One cannot afford to go back from Moscow without having pictures standing in front of the Basil’s. The pictures taken here are just perfect. I could not believe that a place such beautiful as this can exist on earth. After enjoying there for two hours and taking pictures outside we went inside the church. It is not very fascinating inside. The inside of the church is normal and small icons are present there. I was not expecting that in there but thought there would be something fascinating inside as it was outside. But still the visit to this place was just awesome. We would have loved to stay there but as we had to visit other places as well so we had to leave from there. But it took around three hours to completely see and enjoys the beauty of the place which also includes our several clicks.
Then we went to the Red square. The Basil’s Cathedral is present on the Red square. It is the main square in Moscow and one the best places on the earth. I would say you cannot believe your eyes that such beautiful places also exist in the earth. This place is so full of colors like the church. There are several architectural monuments present in this area which show the expertise of the Russians in construction. There are many museums in the vicinity you would love to visit. In one of them there are statues of the soviet leaders. One cannot afford to miss pictures with them. This is a must visit place in Russia. This should be called as Beautiful Square.

It was late in the evening. So we decided to go back to the hotel and rest as we were tired of the whole day. But we decided to go back by Metro instead. We were advised not to miss the Metro Ride. It was not much crowded when we boarded the metro, though it is crowded for most of the time. The journey in the metro was very comfortable. The metro stations are also very good examples of the architectural work. The lines on the metro are identified by number and the color. We were told by the metro officials that all the historical sites in the Moscow are at walking distances from the metro stations. So we decided to go to the other places from the next day using metro. This is the world’s most modern and convenient metro in my view.
Next day morning we went to the Kva - Kva Park using the metro. This is one of the best Aqua parks in the world. There are many slides present in the park and you would enjoy each and every slide present there. This place is quite expensive but it is worth the expenses. There are a number of life guards present there for the safety of the visitors. This park is fully equipped with all the basic facilities required in the aqua park. A number of saunas are available in the park. We were not in a mood to return from the amazing place. We spent around four hours there but still we were thinking of extending our stay there. We decided to come back to this place again whenever we plan for a holiday again.
After the fascinating visit to the Aqua Park which had a soothing effect on our body, we decided to have a look at the Russian theatre. So, we went to the Bolshoi Theatre in the Moscow. This is one of the oldest theatres in the city and a must see for all the visitors to the city. We enjoyed the Ballet there. It was romantic stay for both of us there. This place was burnt in a fire and then by the hurricanes but now the place is rebuilt and is the most romantic place to spend a quality time with your love. This was the most romantic time spent by both of us after our marriage.
After the marvelous evening in the Theatre which left us stunned after the breathtaking performances, we decided to continue our journey in the land of fantasy. Next we decided to visit the Great Kremlin palace. It is the rarest view to see the cathedral and the armory present here. This is the most awesome place and takes us very close to the history. The palace is opened to the public less frequently. We were lucky enough that it was open for the public on that day. We were totally stunned after visiting the palace. We had never thought that we would be so close to the history ever in our life.
Then we were in the Moscow University. This is also the most beautiful example of architecture. We had a shortage of time, and so had a quick view into the university. This is the best place to have a stroll with your loved ones. It is the best and the biggest university and the place to visit for the people studying there is Moscow. This is the best example of the Stalin’s architecture and is one the seven sister buildings.
Next we decided to have a look at the Russian casting. The Tsar Bell and the Tsar Cannon are the masterpieces of the Russian casting. The cannons weigh around forty tons each and were made in the sixteenth century. The most interesting thing is that this was never used to fire. The Tsar Bell is the largest and heaviest bell in the world. It weighs around two hundred tons and is twenty feet high and 22 feet in the diameter. There is a large piece of the bell broken from it. We got to see the broken part as well. There is a story behind the broken Bell. Sometime back in the history, fire broke up in the area and water was user to control the fire. The water which was sprayed on the bell caused it to crack. This bell was also never used like the Tsar Cannon. But still after centuries of creation both of them are marvelous pieces of art and fascinate the visitors to the place.
The visit to the cannon and bell marked the end of our fascinating and most interesting trip to Moscow. Instead of leaving by air we decided to leave via Sapsan Train which is most famous in Moscow and puts the US express trains to a shame. We had the most comfortable and luxurious journey to St. Petersburg. The countryside view is very much fascinating from the train.
We had the most wonderful time of our life there in the Moscow and we are looking forward for another trip to the country. We still have all the memories of the trip afresh in our mind.
