A Trip To The Amazing Scotland
Scotland is one of the best countries to have a vacation of your dream. It has several places to visit and adrenaline activities to make you have the kind of fun that you have never had in your life. There are breathtaking tourist attractions that you cannot miss to see. That is why I went to Scotland for my vocational tour with my boyfriend and we enjoyed so much in the place. We enjoyed the tours to various destinations, the historical sites, the Highlands, the Forts and so much that made me want to go there again. This is why I am very happy to tell you my story about the visit to Scotland. This is the kind of a visit that you have ever dreamt of. When we got to Scotland, I considered myself as one of the happiest women on earth because one of my dreams came true as I had imagined. I had been considering visiting Scotland for a very long time until I told my boyfriend about it and we started planning about it together.
After landing in the Scotland’s big city, we wanted some good tours to take us out of the city so that we could see a ton of Scotland all at once. We were very glad to have the heart of Scotland day tours found in Edinburgh. They offered a tour guide that was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. We had so much to do in the tour like the experience in the Stirling Castle. We actually had a drive through very spectacular places where we saw the Hamish, the Highland Cow, the castle from Monty Python and even the Holy Grail. We moved to the Stirling Castle and it was such a wonderful adventure in this particular Castle. We also got the chance to have some whiskey samples in the Glengoyne whisky distillery. We also got so much information about to how to make whiskey and it was so good to my boyfriend because he loves whiskey so much and I understand him even though whiskey is not my favourite. We decided to have some lunch and refreshments in Aberfoyle just next to the distillery. I loved this Heart of Scotland Day Tours and I have to recommend it to you if you are planning for a tour in Scotland. They have great options and they actually pick carefully where to stop and have the fun. They actually made my dream vacation come true.
Our next plan was to visit the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. We took good part of the day to explore the diversity of the world cultures, natural world, science and technology as well as arts and designs, and Scottish history all under one roof of the spectacular national museum. There were also several activities my lovely daughter that made her have fun and enjoy herself. The access to this museum is actually free and we were very excited because we never expected it to be free of any charges. We loved the Viking exhibition and plenty of activities in this place. The national museum is actually an enormous place and we couldn’t exploit everything within just a few hours of the day. We only covered two of the three floors which mean that there are still lots of things that we haven’t seen yet in the superb museum. We really missed so much and we are planning to go back very soon for so much fun this time.
We took another tour in Glasgow with the Discover Scotland day tours. The highland was magnificent and the scenery was stunning. The tour guide was upbeat with knowledge and enthusiasm that made our tour day very fantastic. We learnt so much and this particular guide made it really much interesting that we even wanted to know more about the place. The Loch Ness tour is a tour of a lifetime that is highly recommended to whoever wants a great tour in Scotland. It is just the best tour to have in the country. We also went to the Oban Western Highlands, Castles and the Glencoe. These are just amazing scenery to move around and just have your precious time enjoying the tranquillity of it all. It was very stunning and worth seeing for your great vacation tour. My boyfriend loved everything about this tour and he wants us to plan and have another one in Scotland for longer days. We even came across this particular deer that came running towards us and actually ate the carrots that our guide provided after recognizing the coach that we used. They must be very familiar with this coach because it actually does magical tours every day to other visitors as well.
We went to another attraction in St. Andrews called the Scotland’s Secret bunker which is a great historic site to visit in Scotland. This is actually the best place to learn more about the interesting piece of cold war history. It is well maintained with large rooms that are themed to offer a varied insight into the life of the bunker. The staffs are very amazing and well knowledgeable to help you with all the information that you need to know about Scotland. We were there for three hours and we really enjoyed the stay. We were able to learn that we are so close to the man made destructions if we don’t embrace peace amongst ourselves. It was very clear that the secret bunker is not secret anymore as we expound our historical knowledge with the glimpse of the cold war and a vast extensive underground bunker and all things military. This was a very interesting place to visit and enjoy the visit.
Our next visit was to Fort William with the Vertical Descents Adventures Scotland. This vertical Descents Adventures Scotland is actually a much modernized adventure activity center that operates from the Oban, Perth and Fort William. We enjoyed the various activities that they offer here that included the Canyoning, paintball, white water rafting, fun yakking, climbing, bridge swing, Coasteering among other fun adrenaline activities that are offered to families and individuals who want to enjoy it all. It was such an awesome experience and we really enjoyed a lot of stunning views and jumps. We could jump off the awesome cliffs, ride down the rapids and had dozens of beers in Fort Bill. The instructors were quite wonderful for that cracking tour. We all enjoyed so much in this place and it proved to be another perfect visit for the next vocational tour in our program.
We also went to the M & D’s Scotland Theme park in Motherwell. This is actually one of the best theme parks in Scotland. It was a very enjoyable day being in this park and the kid also enjoyed every bit of it as we all had great fun. There were four Roller Coasters in this place for her to enjoy but unfortunately two of them were not working but we ended up enjoying ourselves so much that we never realized what was missing in this particular theme park. There were also the indoor rides and the casino, restaurants and the eateries where we took some refreshments and our lunch.
We lastly visited the National War Museum of Scotland. This is the place where you are able to find the historical setting of Edinburgh castle and all the accounts of the battles that were won and lost being given to you through the military artifacts and personal collections. You will also be able to know more about the Scots at First World War and how it has actually shaped the reputation and image of the Scotland over the years. There was also so much to see in this place that was very educational to us. This is the kind of museum to learn more about the Scotland’s history.
